Utilises simple, quick, ad hoc construction techniques, using materials found on the Commons, to interrogate material and spatial models of ownership. With an aim of a renewed understanding of the material potentiality of the contemporary urban context.
-‘Commons’ is a means of critiquing the wider systems of land ownership, and the false binary of public and private that dictates the way that architecture is created today We see the intersecting issues of the housing crisis, homelessness, economic inequality and climate breakdown as symptoms of who owns land and resources and who makes decisions about what gets built.
