Project:
This project, under the auspices of the “Hijes del Agua” Collective, is an explorative initiative that invites audiences to imagine a possible apocalyptic future precipitated by the rising sea levels resulting from anthropogenic disturbances to our climate equilibrium. This immersive and interactive event, EXILE, delves deeply into the radical social responses to these environmental transformations, providing a stark reflection of collective human reactions in the face of potential catastrophe.
The exhibition is designed not just to present a scenario but to engage participants deeply, encouraging them to reflect on and formulate personal conclusions about the adequacy and effectiveness of human interventions in what might be perceived as the "end of the world" or, more poignantly, the end of humanity itself. Through a series of interactive displays, digital narratives, and live simulations, EXILE challenges its audience to consider the role of individual and collective action in averting or navigating through the direst consequences of climate change.
By fostering a dialogue between science, art, and community, the “Hijes del Agua” Collective aims to amplify the discourse around climate change and resilience, pushing for a reevaluation of our strategies for survival in a rapidly changing world. This event is a call to action, urging participants to rethink their impact on the planet and their legacy for future generations.
